Karlheinz Stockhausen was invited to offer an informal workshop. I expected a bit of stern lecturing
about strict music structures from this firebrand of Post-Modernism. As he pored over student scores,
the emphasis was on the flow, the musical feel the overall unity of works of music. In fact, he as full of
great energy & charm. It's easy to understand his fame as organizer, champion & collaborator of new
works in Darmstadt Electronic Music Festivals. He will greatly missed & celebrated as a mentor.
