LUDWIG VON BEETHOVEN
1770 - 1827
Titan  of  the  classical  music  world,  Beethoven   emulated and learned from the
greatest composers of   his era and the high Baroque.  Throughout all 3 of his
creative periods, he explored & mastered form,  harmony and counterpoint in such
unique ways. The elements of   surprise, breathtaking beauty and frequent roughness
of style generate love and fascination with his music to   the present day.

    Beethoven:  Use of Form...

    Musical form
"The term musical form is used in two related ways: a generic type of composition such as the symphony or concerto the structure of a particular piece, how its parts are put together to make the whole; this too can be generic, such as binary form or sonata form" From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia.
    Musical Form:  By: Anthony Brandt
"Summary: Musical form is the wider perspective of a piece of music. It describes the layout of a composition as divided into sections, akin to the layout of a city divided into neighborhoods" |  Examples: Beethoven, Bach, Schumann, Boulez Connexions

The Digital Beethoven House: Conception and Demonstrator  |  Abstract:  Digital libraries are organized collections of digital information. The Digital Beethoven House is an innovative digital library project of the Beethoven House Association in Bonn and GMD (Germany's national research center for information technology), which will be a worldwide pilot for the digitization of a composer-referred source collection. Ludwig van Beethoven's birthplace today contains a collection of more than 4,000 original documents. The inheritance is to be made better accessible for the worldwide public and science and at the same time protected and preserved for future generations by the application of digital media and networks.
